We spent two days with my parents this week and they live in Virginia. On one of the back roads near their house is a garage that takes care of delinquent payments in an interesting way - they post a sign with your name on it telling you to pay your bill! I guess that gets your attention.
Immediately it made me think about this question: What if my faults were posted for the world to see? It might be pretty embarrassing!
The truth is that one day, we'll give an account of our lives and all of our secrets will be brought to light. (1 Corinthians 4:5; Romans 2:16)
I know this can sound like a guilt trip, and that's certainly what the guy with the garage is trying to put on Wayne Hall, but it doesn't have to be for us. May it just serve as a reminder that if you live in the light now, there won't be any secrets you have to worry about later.
