After my run the other day I stopped and just took in the beauty of the mountains near my in-laws house where we're staying for a few days.
It was incredibly beautiful.
I began to think about the mountains and how they were kind of like the "fingerprints of God." In fact, i think that wherever we see beauty, we see the fingerprints of God. Beauty declares His glory whether it is mountains, people, music...you name it. I started to think about how God's fingerprints are everywhere we look from the smallest animal to the largest mountain - He has left his fingerprints everywhere.
We leave our fingerprints everywhere too. It's kind of interesting to think about how many places we leave our fingerprints. We leave them on every shopping cart, every door handle, virtually everything we touch...even people.
People? Yes. Every person we interact with, we impact in some way. The question that begs to be asked once we think about that is, "What are my fingerprints leaving behind." Or, "What impact am I making on the people around me." Am I leaving something positive, encouraging, strengthening...even beautiful?
Where are you leaving your fingerprints?
